Good small portable Cimbalom by Lajos Bohak, the front and sides carved with stylised foliage and inscribed Bohak, Budapest to the front, also stamped 70 underneath, supported upon four circular tapering screw-in legs, with a pair of beaters, tuning handle and bespoke hard case, 47" wide overall, 29" deep

** The owner of this Cimbalom has been a player for over forty years, mainly on movie soundtracks. You can hear this small Bohak Cimbalom on the score of Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring in the sequence called Concerning Hobbits where Gandalf rides on a horse and cart into Hobbiton to meet Bilbo Baggins. He was a member of the Hobbit Band for all three of the Lord of the Rings movies playing this Cimbalom
