Interesting copy of a 16th century South German Astronomical table clock in the manner of Jeremias Metzjer, within an ornate chased and gilt metal cast case12" high (pendulum)

** There is a very similar clock in the Metropolitan Museum in New York

More Information

The general condition is very good and we would guess it is a late 19th/early 20th century copy, the movement is very simple and does not resemble the movement in the original clock at all, just a simple two train striking on a bell in the basket top. See images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible.
