Good German violoncello of the Schweitzer School circa 1890, the two piece back of plainish wood with similar wood to the sides and head, the table of a medium width grain widening to the flanks and the varnish of a reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 29 3/4", 75.60cm
Generally tired condition with scratches and varnish scuffs all over, the neck has been poorly glued to the body some time ago, no serious condition issues. Length of neck 11 7/8", 30.20cm. Please see images for guidance. Personal viewing always advised where possible. Top shoulder to notch approx. 400mm. Ribs with some small, but stable cracks
