Neuner & Hornsteiner violoncello circa 1890, labelled Antonius Stradivarius Cremona..., the two piece back of very faint medium curl with similar wood to the sides and head, the table of a medium width grain and the varnish of a plum red colour on a golden ground, 29 1/2", 74.90cm
There is a sound post and several other long cracks in the table, there are more minor cracks to most ribs and scores/indentations to areas of the back, there has been a repair where the neck joins the body on the heel. See images for guidance. Personal viewing always advised where possible.
