1985 Fender Performer 'prototype' electric guitar, made in Japan; Body: emerald green metallic, finish stress crack to neck pocket, a few further minor dings; Neck: maple, minor pulling; Fretboard: maple; Frets: good; Electrics: working; Hardware: good; Case: original hard case; Weight: 3.57kg; Overall condition: good

*Possibly a prototype example and thought to be the only of this model to feature a maple fretboard. Sold with an email from designer John Page confirming that the guitar 'looks totally legit' and that it may very well be a sample 'due to the lack of serial number'. He also states that he could not recall including maple as an option, with the others having rosewood boards. Another email from guitar guru Tony Bacon also confirms that he cannot recall seeing another example with a maple neck. Although a serial number is not present where expected on the back of the head, there is a handwritten serial sticker within the neck pocket
