1964 Gibson ES-345 heavily modified semi-hollow body electric guitar, made in USA; Body: sunburst, refinish, dowelled holes around bridge posts from repositioning; Neck: replacement neck made evident from new tenon and later fretboard, original truss rod possibly used, head logo and centre head inlay appear original; Fretboard: rosewood, replacement; Electrics: bridge pickup not working, wired mono, original Varitone choke still in place but re-seated with incorrect screws, pickups with 'Patent Applied For' stickers to the reverse, pickups appear to be aged-up possibly-Gibson humbuckers, bumblebee type capacitor visible, unable to take potentiometer readings; Hardware: later Japanese Kluson style tuners, 'Stereo' truss rod cover appears original, top nut appears to be Gibson type, pickguard appears original but with replacement mounting screws, pickup surround replaced and stamped 'RD1', replacement Gotoh Tune-o-Matic bridge and stop bar, rotary switch surround appears later; Case: contemporary fitted hard case; Weight: 3.84kg; Overall condition: fair
