Micky Moody - Park 1292 30 watt guitar amplifier, made in England, ser. no. 240804, fitted with a Celestion G12-30 12" speaker, bearing a 'Micky Moody' stencil to the back

*Acquired by the vendor from Micky Moody, via his father Bob Lewis, a Twickenham musician best known as 'Doctor Bob and the Nurses'

Many musicians guested in Bob's band including Scott Gorham from Thin Lizzy. Bob was well acquainted with many musicians including The Strawbs, Ray Majors of 'Mott' and John Edwards (Status Quo). Micky Moody connected with Bob when he was looking for an amp for his son as a young gigging guitarist and it is understood that Micky sold the amp as, by then, he was only using it for warming up offstage

Interestingly, the amp is the same model that Bernie Marsden used in the studio with Whitesnake on the 'Saints and Sinners' album. This amp was offered for sale at Gardiner Houlgate, ex-lot 524 - The Bernie Marsden Collection, on 10th December 2022. Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden were both guitarists on this album and it is likely that Micky acquired and used this amplifier around a similar time
