Sorley, Chronometer Makers To The Admiralty, 93, St, Vincent St't, Glasgow, no. 51168, with plain balance cock, regulator, blued steel helical hairspring and bi-metallic compensated balance, 18ct hinged cuvette inscribed 'A.M.P. Lyle, from his Mother, on his twenty-first Birthday', the dial with Arabic numerals, minute track and subsidiary seconds, blued steel fleur-de-lis hands, within a plain case with engraved cockerel over a ribbon inscribed '. AN I MAY.', 18ct bow, case maker 'PW' (probably Philip Woodman & Sons), 94.7gm, 49mm

Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - a few light surface marks but generally good.
Glass - light surface marks.
Hands - light surface marks and some mild light wear.
Case - small bruise mark to the case back, general light surface marks, mild rubbing to the cockerel and ribbon.
Crown - adjusting correctly.
