19th century guitar labelled D & A Roudhloff, also bearing a handwritten label inscribed 'D & A Roudhloff, Sole Makers to the Improved Maker of the Guitars, 87 Charlotte Street, Fitzroy Square, London, Roudhloff'; Back and sides: rosewood, surface lacquer imperfections to back, repaired patch to treble side, repaired splits to treble side at the lower bout, repaired splits to end, plugged holes to body end from previously installed tailpiece, refinishing; Top: replaced spruce top, repaired hairline split, refinished, general play wear; Neck: rosewood; Fretboard: ebony; Frets: good; Hardware: fitted with engraved brass tuners inscribed Roudhloff, Charlotte Street, London and with 'V (crown) R' and shaped buttons, later bridge; Nut width: 45mm; Scale length: 625mm; Case: later bespoke wooden hard case; Overall condition: good
