£120
Oak and mahogany eight day longcase clock, the 13" square brass dial signed Thos. Clowes, Nantwich to the dial centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, the case with long wavy mahogany crossbanded door and the hood surmounted by a dentil moulded cornice with three brass ball finials, 87" high (pendulum, two weights and keys)
We believe this may be a sympathetic marriage of movement to case with added wood to the cheeks lifting the movement to sit squarely in the glazed hood, we would estimate the case to be circa 1800, the general condition of the movement and case appear to be reasonable with expected wear and tear for age, we have not had the movement running, see images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible.
