Two-manual harpsichord by Richard Maunder, Sawston, near Cambridge, circa 2005, after Thomas Hitchcock, London, circa 1725, the case of walnut with double-curved bentside, the lid with four brass strap hinges, pierced and engraved with flowers and foliage, the fasciaboards, cheeks and jackrails veneered with walnut with chevron stringing, the five octave keyboard, GG to g3, with ivory naturals with arcaded facings and ebony and ivory 'skunk-tailed' accidentals, four brass hand stops controlling two 8ft and one 4ft stops on the lower manual and one 8 ft and an 8ft lute stop on the upper manual, with separate music desk, on trestle stand with turned legs
