Fine 19th century brass barrelled and brass framed flintlock box-lock blunderbuss pistol with spring bayonet signed Bond, London, 6.5" bell mouth barrel with octagonal breech and London proofs, top steel engraved sliding safety, spring bayonet and engraved trigger sliding guard, the engraved frame signed 'W. Bond' to one side and 'London' to the other, chequered wood grip, 12" long overall (lacking the ramrod)

appears in fine condition, the action holds on half and full cock, the slide safety works well, the bayonet release is good but spring not quite strong enough for the bayonet to lock into place automatically, this retaining latch also quite weak and doesnt hold the bayonet firm, bright metal - some pitting across the bayonet and trigger guard etc.
