*At the time, the most expensive east German jazz guitar that you could buy and a rare instrument that still sets standards. The Record model was and remained the top model of east German archtop guitars for thirty years. Musima started in 1952 with material and machines from the ex-appropriated companies of Wenzel Rossmeisl (Roger) and Heinrich Roth (Eroma). The master guitar builder Anton Lobeer made the first Record guitars from original parts of the Rossmeisls, as well as this model, making it essentially the Roger top model 'Super Ultra', only under the Musima label. First introduced at the Leipzig fair in 1955, this Roger bears a hand written date on the bottom of the pickguard 21.12.1955. Wenzel Rossmeisl succeeded in procuring high quality woods for his guitars. The three layer construction method has gone down in guitar building history as the 'German carve'
This guitar has received professional restoration in Germany and the original Rellog pickup is still installed, completely encapsulated in the neck end with the jack output in the neck base
