George Taylor, London - English 18th century gilt metal and tortoiseshell verge pocket watch, circa 1770, No. 624, signed fusee movement with three-arm balance, foliate pierced balance cock, silver regulating dial and square baluster pillars, enamel Roman numeral dial with outer minute markers, gold beetle and poker hands, bulls eye glass, tortoiseshell outer case with pin work decoration, with a shagreen outer protective case, case maker 'I.R', 45mm
Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - small rim abrasion at the 2/3 position - see images.
Glass - marks present.
Hands - see image.
Case - inner case has gilding wear, the outer case with small split to the bezel at the 3 position, also a some typical splits to the case back which is of good colour, wear tot he release button. The protective case intact with a loose hinge.
