Mike Pender (The Searchers) - owned and used 1968 Rickenbacker 456/12 Convertible six/twelve string electric guitar, made in USA, ser. no. HI1447; Body: maple glo finish, two large buckle patches and further scratches to the back, further dings around; Neck: maple; Fretboard: rosewood, mild wear; Frets: worn; Electrics: no output from neck pickup, further investigation required; Hardware: hairline split to pickguard beneath switch, bridge replaced, slight damage beneath comb device; Case: later well used Rickenbacker hard case bearing various luggage and other labels; Weight: 3.41kg; Overall condition: fair

*Purchased in 1974 in the USA and used extensively by Mike in subsequent tours until being replaced with a modern Standard Rickenbacker twelve string. Mike can be seen playing this guitar in many pictures including on the front cover and internally in his autobiography 'Origins of The Searchers and The Search For Myself'. The sale of this guitar also includes a hardback copy of Mike's autobiography, a Boss CE-5 chorus pedal, a Mike Pender event lanyard and a copy of the front cover of the February 2005 issue 35 volume 3 of 'The Beat', illustrating Mike with the guitar
