Chris Cross (Ultravox) - stage and studio used 1982 Ibanez Blazer Series BL700 bass guitar, made in Japan, ser. no. D824702; Body: customised grey finish upon natural, touched-in patches of wear, exposed natural blemishes, vacant battery compartment to back; Neck: custom grey finish including fretboard, some finish peeling; Frets: mild wear and tarnishing; Electrics: working, pickup covers with custom grey finish; Hardware: replacement knobs, custom painted guard, tarnishing to bridge; Case: Yamaha hard case inscribed 'Grey Ibanez Bass' to the side and bearing a sticker inscribed 'Vox 2'; Weight: 4.63kg; Overall condition: fair
*Used extensively by Chris Cross' on Ultravox albums and performances. One of his primary live basses during the early 1980s, used in rotation with other grey customised models. The finish matched Midge Ure's Ibanez guitar that he can be seen using during many 1980s and later performances, including the Live Aid concert at Wembley Stadium in 1985. The bass was also used during the first stage of the 'Return to Eden' tour in 2009 (See images).
