James Jenkins, London - George II gold and horn pair cased verge pocket watch, London (possibly 1748), signed fusee movement, flat steel balance, winged pierced and engraved balance cock, silver regulating dial and square baluster pillars, enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic numeral chapter, gold beetle and poker hands, under painted horn outer case depicting a floral urn display within fern borders, pin work decoration, case maker 'I.P', 50mm
Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - light marks, small chip tot he 6 position on the release button - see image.
Glass - light marks.
Hands - good.
Case - inner case clean with some bruising as expected for the period, the date mark is partially rubbed but possibly 1748; the outer case with a small section of horn missing on the bezel at the 2 position, the back with a split to the horn but overall considered fairly good for the period and good colour - see images.
