**Purchased by the vendor in October 1994 having been offered the bass by Jeremy Parker, Mike Oldfield's then personal assistant. The vendor was offered the guitar as he was a known fan of Mike Oldfield. The bass is sold with a signed letter of authenticity from Tom Newman of Tom Newman Productions, confirming that this instrument was owned and used by Mike Oldfield and can be seen in the videos for 'Shadow on the Wall', 'Pictures in the Dark', and 'Islands' from the Windchimes collection. See illustrations featuring the bass in these videos. The Roland can also be seen behind Mike in a black and white still, as well as illustrated amongst a group of guitars within the 'Discovery' album sleeve. The bass is untouched, as the vendor purchased it in 1994, including the strings.
