French guitar attributed to Mangin & Français, Mirecourt, circa 1820, the two piece back and ribs of mahogany, the table inlaid around the edge, with a pin bridge with simple moustaches, the sound hole and the fingerboard base with a broad band of ebony with ivory stringing and mother of pearl dots, the figure-of-eight head with reverse friction pegs, seventeen frets, of which six inset into the table, labelled Rue de Tenremonde No 4 à Lille prés due Marché au Verjus, Mangin et Français
