Good French small ormolu novelty mantel timepiece, the movement back plate signed J. Charles á Paris no. 5/6829, the movement with escapement and silk suspension, the 2.5" white enamel chapter ring enclosing a stylised foliate pierced centre, within a foliate embossed lyre case supported by winged lions over a classical pillared base with egg and dart cast plinth, raised upon four ball feet, under a glass dome and upon an ebonised base with rounded ends, 12" high overall (pendulum)
There have been several poor repairs to the chapter ring clearly visible in the images, the thread on one of the bun feet has crossed, there are very minor imperfections on the ormolu case, minor chipples to the base of the dome. See images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible.
