Fender Precision Bass guitar, made in USA, circa 1981, ser. no. S9xxxx9; Finish: red, refinish, slight parting of body join seen through the finish to the back, odd raised areas underneath finish beneath the pickguard, shielding paint to the underguard routs; Fretboard: maple, some wear and loss to fretboard lacquer; Frets: mild wear; Electrics: working, replacement DiMarzio type pickups, potentiometers dating to 1981; Hardware: pickguard probably later, replaced pickguard screws; Weight: 5.15kg; Overall condition: fair

*Sold on behalf of Nigel Thornbory, of Thornbory Guitars and co-creator of the Guild Ashbory bass. This guitar was given to Nigel during a visit to the Fender factory

Generally as per description. The body has been refinished and may have had work due to suspicious raised points underneath the guard. There are also signs of the multi-join body beneath the finish with hairlines visible. Potentiometers appear original and date to 1981. Pickups replaced, pickguard appears later as do the pickguard screws. Minor wear to frets and fretboard lacquer. Personal viewing advised.
