Fine French early 19th century 18ct musical quarter repeating pocket watch, unsigned gilt movement with cylinder escapement, gold balance and regulator, plunge repeat with hammers striking gongs, the musical mechanism plays on the hour or activated by a small slide in the band, gilt hinged cuvette two winding holes for the movement and for the musical barrel, enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute markers and Breguet type blued hands, engine turned case with a milled band and vacant oval cartouche to the back, case stamped 'PG', 159.2gm, 59mm
Movement - appears currently functioning, the repeat striking but off line so requires adjustment, the musical mechanism appears functioning on demand and also on the hour.
