19th century French guitar in need of restoration, labelled 'Marchal... Le Havre'; Back and sides: mahogany, large cracks to centre back, various splits to binding, cracks and veneer loss to ribs, loss to top binding; Top: fine grain natural spruce, long cracks to both upper and lower bouts, missing treble side bridge finial, general play wear; Neck: ebonised lifting to veneer on bass hand side, repair to bass wing of head; Fingerboard: ebony; Frets: worn and tarnished, tapered frets running onto table; Hardware: engraved brass Wheatstone tuners with shaped ivory buttons (damages); Case: ebonised case (at fault); Scale length: 650mm; Nut width: 46mm; Overall condition: in need of restoration
