Sold with a sales receipt made out to Chris Allen (Cross) from The Bass Centre, Wapping, London, dated 4/4/86. Confirmed by Status Graphite as being ordered by the Bass Centre in Wapping and delivered to them in March 1986. According to the Status records, this serial no. is listed as a fretted instrument. They have stated that this is an in-house error with the Bass Centre receipt confirming this is an original fretless version.
General condition is fair from a life of touring and then eventually storage. The neck is straight and playable despite the tarnishing to the frets. Electronics are intermittent most likely from being sat in storage and require a clean, just moving through pots and wiggling switches started to wake the electronics up. A clean with contact cleaner or isopropyl will most likely solve the intermittence, contacts on battery tab and input jack are the most likely culprits. It is worth noting that one of the contact points on one of the battery tabs requires replacing as it has corroded to the point of several pieces breaking away. Please see additional images for general guidance on condition.
