William Knowles, Liverpool - English 18th century silver and tortoiseshell pair cased verge pocket watch, circa London 1778,  signed fusee movement, no. 518, with a sprung three-arm balance, pierced and engraved balance cock and strapwork foot, regulating dial and square baluster pillars, enamel white dial with Roman  numerals and outer Arabic minute chapter, gold Fleur-de-lis hands, plain inner case, case maker 'IM', (possibly either James Marson or James Macklin), gilt metal tortoiseshell outer case with gilt metal pinwork decoration, 49mm

Movement - currently functioning.
Dial -hairline present with typical surface marks - see image.
Glass - light marks.
Hands - good.
Case - inner case with solder repair to the stem visible to the inside, typical light marks; the outer case with evidence of repairs and some surface cracks as expected - see images.
