Fine Grande Sonnerie repeater carriage clock with alarm, the movement back plate stamped Klaftenberger, London no. 9136, striking on a bell, fitted beneath the base with a selection lever for striking/silent/full striking and inscribed ‘Presented to Frederick Charrington by his loving wife, on the 23rd anniversary of their marriage, 19th April 1872’, also stamped to the base and back edge with the ser. no. 9136, the 2.25" white dial signed Klaftenberger, Regent Street, over a subsidiary alarm dial and within a foliate gilt mask, gilded foliate engraved gorge case, 7" high; also with an outer Morocco leather travelling case (key)
The movement is ticking and striking, the sonnerie functions are working too, the case has been re-gilded and there has been a repair made to the alarm dial, see images for guidance, personal viewing always advised when possible
