1961 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, made in USA, ser. no. 6xxx1; Finish: Olympic white, refinished, blemishes and dings around; Fretboard: rosewood, showing signs of wear throughout; Frets: heavily worn and oxidised original frets; Electrics: appear original, three-way switch working although stiff; Hardware: appears original, two saddles missing, one saddle adjustment grub screw missing, missing original back plate; Case: original hard case; Weight: 3.41kg; Overall condition: fair

*This guitar is essentially all original aside from the refinish and two missing saddles. Interestingly it appears to have a 1959 spec body which would likely have been a leftover at the factory. It also appears that the original finish under the refinish could be Olympic White

Condition generally as per description. Refinished body which is evident by the paint within the original holes. Appears to be a late 50s body, which would have been a factory left over. The section of wood where the screw nearest the middle tone knob attaches to the body is missing and therefore that corresponding screw cannot be fastened down. Neck with 10-61 pencil marking, medium wear to back of the neck, frets heavily worn and would likely need refretting, decal and tuners appear original. Pickguard and other plastics appear original. Electrics inside look good and original with all potentiometers dating to the 34th week of 1961. Original case in fairly good condition considering age with some wear to the outside and inside.
