The oil painting of the Terriers by the rabbit hole is in good original condition, it has not been re-lined and has reasonably thick impasto (thick paint) to the surface, there is a layer of dirt and discoloured varnish to the surface, there is some light craquelure to the paint surface but this is entirely due to the painting's age, the picture has been placed into a good quality 1970s or 80s gilt plaster and wooden frame.
