£250 - £350
Interesting early ebonised thirty hour longcase clock with birdcage movement, the 10.5" square brass dial signed Samuel Henry Smith, London on a silvered arched plate to the matted centre with calendar aperture, the case with long door and the hood surmounted by a stepped moulded cornice, 76" high (pendulum and weight)
The general condition of the clock is a little poor, the case heavily overpainted with black paint many years ago, there are cracks across the base and above the trunk door clearly visible in the images, the dial plate has minor scratches in places, with minor marks on the chapter ring and matted centre, the movement is quite rusted, see images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible.
