The Alarm - Studio and stage used 1997 Marshall 35th Anniversary Limited Edition JMP Mk II guitar amplifier head, made in England, ser. no. 977768407, with matching 1960A lead 4 x 12 guitar amplifier speaker cabinet, ser. no. 970009717
** Bought by The Alarm for the 2003 'In The Poppy Fields' recording sessions and tour. Used in the '45 RPM' video that created the international rock scandal around 'In The Poppy Fields', when the Alarm used a fake band to cover their identity (and age), from the music industry upon release. '45 RPM' became a top 20 hit in 2004. The amps were used on many tours and Gatherings and also by the infamous 'Children of the Revolution' Glam rock band.
**Photograph shows the amplifier in use during the 45rpm video shoot in December 2013
Scuffs and snags to outer tolex as to be expected for a touring amplifier. After a brief test, the amplifier powers up and emits sound, however there is a constant high pitched squeal which requires further investigation. Please note: we do not guarantee the full working order of electrical items.
