English school (19th century) - Portrait of W.S. Brinkley of the 11th Hussars standing full length in military uniform holding his sword under his left arm, his horse nearby, extensively inscribed on a later label giving details that he was not in the Crimea war and lived at Knockmanoon near Dublin, and moved to 93 Sydney Place, Bath and is buried at Bathwick cemetery. With further historical details, pencil and watercolour, 18.5" x 14"

Firstly the watercolour of W.S.Brinkley is in good condition with strong colour and is contained within its original gilt plaster and wooden frame, under glass.
