Grand piano by Erard, London, Circa 1860. Serial number 10774.
Details:
The case veneered with burr walnut, part metal frame with four metal bars and one metal cross bar.
The seven-octave keyboard, AAA to a4, with ivory naturals and ebony accidentals, with music desk veneered ensuite with the case, on three hexagonal legs, inscribed ‘Patent Erard, London’ in brass inlay on the interior fallboard.

Condition:
This piano has wrest plank failure although at present does not seem to have affected the tuning stability across the piano, although it’s now pitched at a whole tone below modern concert pitch.
The dampers are not functioning well at present.
Attractive casework.
