William Moore, London - mid-18th century English quarter repeating silver pair cased verge pocket watch, the fusee movement signed W'M Moore, London, no.1967, sprung flat steel balance, pierced and engraved winged balance cock and foot, rose diamond endstone, silvered regulating dial and baluster pillars, plunge repeat with hammers striking on a bell to the inner case, enamel white dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute chapter, steel beetle and poker hands, bullseye glass, matching pierced cases with engraved foliate decoration, 58mm (the timepiece requires attention)
Movement - the repeat appears to be striking correctly, but at present the timepiece is not running so will require attention.
Dial - some visible damage to the outer rim of the dial - see image.
Glass - good .
Hands - good.
Case - no hallmarks present, both cases are considered good for the period - see all images for personal guidance.
