Small square piano, German or Austrian, circa 1825, the mahogany case in Biedermeier style, with brass mouldings round the lower edges of the case and the edges of the lid, the three and a half octave keyboard, B to f3, with bone naturals and ebony accidentals, with Viennese action, no dampers present, on columnar legs with engine-turned brass collars at the top and base, on shaped stretcher, length 89cm, width 48cm, depth of case 19.5cm
Some strips of the brass mouldings are detached but present.
The hammers have thin leather coverings, probably replaced.
A split in the lid repaired with butterflies.
The front flap of the lid repaired on the inside with a small brass plaque.
