Good and rare rosewood single fusee 8" wall dial clock, the silvered dial signed Barwise, St Martins Lane, London and inscribed GR, the movement back plate also signed Barwise, London and with locking pendulum, within a cylindrical drum case (pendulum and door key)
This clock ticks but has not been tested for accuracy over any period of time; we would estimate the age to be circa 1820-1840; it appears to be honest, although there has been some doubt about the movement and dial having possibly started life in a bracket clock as unusually it has a locking pendulum, also the pendulum does not appear to be original to the movement, both the movement back plate and dial are signed, there is some tarnishing and minor scratching to the silvered dial and expected wear and tear to the wooden surround with some cracks but no missing veneer. See images for guidance, personal viewing advised.
