* Scott Lafaro was the bass player in the Bill Evans trio

**This instrument was handcrafted by Kolstein in New York and the price was several thousand pounds. The bass  is a copy of the Scott Lafaro bass which was restored by Kosteins after his fatal car crash. It now belongs to the International Society of Bassists in the USA. The Travel version of this double bass has been very successful in the USA. 

***In the UK this model was bought by Jools Holland for his bass player after they had tried out this actual one.
