Thomas Mercer Ltd. two-day marine chronometer, no. 23531, signed 4.25" silvered dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, fifty-six hour power reserve indicator over a constant seconds dial, brass full plate fusee movement with maintaining power, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement and split compensated balance with a helical hairspring, in a brass case with a sliding winding hole shutter and gimbal mount within a square glazed mahogany case bearing a paper label for 'L.J. Harri, Amsterdam' dated 3-10-1944, and brass plaque inscribed 'Nils.V. Dahl, Drottingtorget 10, Malmo, Sweden', 7.25" (with key)
