Good 19th century German violoncello, unlabelled, the two piece back of medium curl with similar wood to the sides and head, the table of a medium width grain slightly widening to the flanks and the varnish of a rich red-brown colour on a golden ground, 30 1/8", 76.50cm, nickel mounted bow, hard case
There has been restoration undertaken to the top ribs either side of the heal where the neck joins the body, this works has been undertaken some years ago and is probably in need of further attention now, there has also been restoration undertaken to the pegbox where there are cracks between the pegs on both sides, otherwise there appears to be no other issues, see images for guidance, personal viewing advised
