£1,500 - £2,500
Good Emilian Wehrle Black Forest four horn trumpeter wall clock, the 8" dial over two doors opening to reveal a standing trumpeter, within a chalet style case carved overall with foliage, 33" high overall (pendulum and two weights)
**The bellows of this clock have been overhauled in Germany. The clock is sold with photographs showing the maker's label and movement
See Justin J Miller - Rare and Unusual Black Forest Clocks, pages 145 and 146
This clock is in working order but requires some work to the case especially; the fret work on the side panels, the chapter numerals and bellows that do not sound great, the movement would appear to be complete but personal viewing is strongly recommended.
