*According to the vendor, this was Albert Lee's principal Music Man guitar between 1994 and 1996, before being replaced by a sunburst example and later the well-known blue model fitted with a tremolo arm. During this period, Lee used the guitar for numerous performances, including appearances with Emmylou Harris at the Royal Albert Hall and with The Everly Brothers.
The vendor recalls that, while recording in Los Angeles with Albert Lee, the pair had planned to visit the Music Man factory so that a custom guitar could be built for him. Owing to time constraints, the visit never took place, and Lee instead offered him this guitar, which was then in the UK. The instrument was subsequently shipped to the vendor by Albert's son, Wayne Lee, in January 1997. Since entering the vendor's collection, it has also been played by Albert Lee on numerous recording sessions at the vendor's studio.
The guitar is autographed to the back of the head and offered with a signed letter of provenance from Albert Lee, dated 19th July 2012, together with a photograph of Lee holding the guitar and one of his Ernie Ball guitar picks.
