George III English silver pair cased verge pocket watch, London 1796, the fusee movement signed J. Eaton, London, no. 1070, with pierced engraved balance cock, steel three arm balance and silvered regulating disc, the polychrome dial depicting a sailing ship, with Roman numerals and Arabic minute track with five minute divisions, beetle and poker hands, bullseye glass, within plain inner case with shutter winding hole cover and plain outer case, 55mm

** The outer case fit the watch well and has the same date mark for 1796, the sponsor mark is different to the inner case. 'IG' possibly for Joseph Glennyor or James Gouldsbrough. The inner case makers partially worn 'B?'
Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - good.
Glass - some surface marks and scratches.
Hands - surface marks.
Case - inner case with tarnish marks and surface marks, repair to the inner case at the stem with solder visible to the inside of the case, possibly replaced stem, the outer case possibly associated but has the same date mark but different sponsor mark, with mild bruise marks, wear to the button - see all images.
