Interesting 19th century violin, possibly Dutch, the one piece back of medium curl with similar wood to the sides, the head of faint medium curl, the table of a fine width grain on the bass side and medium width grain on the treble side, the varnish of a light reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 14", 35.60cm, within a fitted mahogany case
