18th century French Mirecourt violin circa 1800, stamped Le Marquis to the inner back, the one piece back of faint medium curl with similar wood to the head, the sides of a finer curl, the table of a medium width grain and the varnish of a golden-brown colour, 14 1/8", 35.90cm
This violin is generally in reasonable condition, there is a crack on the table running down from the bottom bass side f-hole to the edge, other minor cosmetic imperfections, the head has been re-bushed. See images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible.
