David Merrin states "This guitar has a mellow depth and elegance of tone that is difficult to find in modern instruments. The balance is superb and the instrument is full of character. Built using the Torres model, Viudes has left much more wood in the instrument, knowing as violin makers know, it is not wise to make an instrument graduated too thinly. Better to let the character develop over time as the instrument breaks in than to risk the short career of a firecracker guitar".
Condition notes: although obviously played, this guitar appears to be free of any significant restorations. There is checking to the finish, light play wear to the top and buckle markings to the back as well as expected wear to the back of the neck and frets. Otherwise, in very good condition.
