German violin by and labelled Modell Old Bull, Manufactured in Saxony by Schlosler & Sohn, circa 1890; also stamped Conservatory Violin to the back of the peg box, the two piece back of faint medium curl with similar wood to the sides, the head of plainish wood, the table of a medium width grain and the varnish of a light reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 14 3/16", 36cm
