Dettmer and Son, Patent Pianoforte Makers, No.7 Gresse Street, Rathbone Place, London', the mahogany case with ornate holly and stained fruitwood stringing and chevrons, ivory naturals and ebony accidentals supported upon the original French style square tapered stand with inlaid matching shelf stretcher, 5 and a half octaves FF - c4, double action, width: 71.5", depth: 24.5"

*Ivory sale submission reference DJBB15LJ

*This piano was made circa 1800 by George W. Dettmer with his initials G.W.D still inked and evident on the soundboard. It is a very unusual design, having rounded corners on such an early instrument

***Dettmer was a quality maker and this instrument shows potential of being a good playing instrument as well as a stunning piece of furniture, after careful restoration
