*This piano was made circa 1800 by George W. Dettmer with his initials G.W.D still inked and evident on the soundboard. It is a very unusual design, having rounded corners on such an early instrument
***Dettmer was a quality maker and this instrument shows potential of being a good playing instrument as well as a stunning piece of furniture, after careful restoration
This piano needs full structural repair but is in exceptional original condition, with its original soundboard as a very positive feature. Missing a foot pedal but metal trap work exists. Three dampers missing but all other action pieces extant.
