Hofner 456S archtop guitar, made in Germany, circa 1951; Body: brunette finish, light checking throughout, blemish to centre top, further dings and marks; Neck: good, previously reset with dowels visible to neck heel; Fretboard: rosewood, light wear; Frets: mild wear throughout; Electrics: later fitted Hofner Reissue neck pickup with 60s style controls and side jack; Hardware: generally good, replacement tuners, later installed strap button to heel; Case: modern hard case; Overall condition: good for age
