Bernie Marsden - 1998 Fender Custom Shop Cunetto Era Custom 1960s Relic Stratocaster electric guitar, made in USA, ser. no. CC148; Body: sunburst relic finish; Neck: birds eye maple figured neck stamped John Cruz to the neck butt and also pencilled 'Arbiter'; Fretboard: rosewood; Frets: mild wear; Electrics: working; Hardware: generally good, green oxidisation to tuners and bridge plate screws; Case: original hard case enclosing certificate of authenticity, tags and accessories, bearing a 'Bernie Marsden' stencil to the case lid; Weight: 3.44kg; Overall condition: very good

*Given to Bernie Marsden when he played a Fender Sales Jamboree in London. Bernie was a little surprised to receive the call as he did not have much association with Fender guitars, however it turned out that the person who called him was a big Whitesnake fan. As they did not have the budget for an entire band, they had a Gentleman's Agreement that they would sort a Fender product for him. This guitar appears on page 277 of Bernie's book 'Tales of Tone and Volume' where he recounts the story
