Late 19th century Bavarian violin, the one piece back of faint medium curl with similar wood to the sides, the head of plainish wood, the table of a broad width grain and the varnish of a reddish colour on a golden ground, 15 1/16", 38.30cm

*This violin is stamped with the Hill number 9438 to the end of the fingerboard
