1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom electric guitar, made in USA, serial no. 1xxxx0; Body: black finish, heavy buckle and other wear to back, dings marks and blemishes throughout; Neck: rub wear and blemishes throughout; Fretboard: ebony; Frets: good, refret; Electrics: working, replacement bridge pickup (circa 1990 Gibson humbucker pickup), neck pickup appears original, both pickups with later fitted covers, potentiometers dating to 1973; Hardware: replacement bridge, replacement control knobs, replacement Grover tuners, general loss to gold plating, replacement strap buttons; Case: original Gibson hard case (in very worn condition with tape repairs, later protective hard case also supplied; Weight: 4.45kg; Overall Condition: fair

*Used by 'Honest John Plain', formerly of the UK band 'The Boys'. Used by John for a number of years and can be seen in the 2002 video single release of 'Never listen to rumours'. John also used the guitar while touring as Honest John Plain with the band The Boys. Sold with a statement of provenance from the vendor, a friend of the artist.
